Chelsea are fighting for a Champions League place for next season, and the Blues are also keen to win one silverware this season, with the FA Cup Chelsea’s major chance of winning a trophy.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has sent a message to his players urging them to fight for the badge, coming off a lacklustre defeat to Sheffield United.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League game against Norwich City on Tuesday and the FA Cup semi final clash against Manchester United on Sunday, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that for the moment the Norwich game is more important, as he takes it one game per time.

“In terms of fighting for their careers, no, I want the players just to fight to be a Chelsea player and win the game that’s in hand,” Lampard said at the press conference ahead of Norwich clash.

“Tomorrow that’s Norwich, and it will be Manchester United at the weekend.

“So we don’t jump ahead, and nobody should. The next game ahead is the only one that matters at the minute.

“We’re at a critical stage of the season; Norwich tomorrow then in terms of the league Liverpool and Wolves.

“We know what’s in front of us, we know we have the capabilities in the squad and the team because we’ve shown this season at lots of different points, that’s what’s got us into third position and now we need to finish the job.”
