Player agrees deal to join Chelsea. Lampard is building a brilliant squad

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard hopes to build a squad capable of challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for the title next season.

According to Sky Germany, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Kai Havertz.

The Blues have reportedly agreed wages and contract length with the 21 year old Bayer Leverkusen star, with all other interested parties – including Manchester United – out of the race.

Havertz’s performances in the German top flight have made him one of the most sought-after players in Europe – he has scored 17 goals in all competitions and provided eight assists from midfield.
