According to Football Insider, Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have offered key Chelsea player Willian a lucrative contract and multi-million signing-on fee to join the North London club.
The Brazilian winger will be a free agent at the end of the season but the Blues are keen on extending his contract after scoring four goals and providing two assists in his five games since the Premier League resumed last month after the coronavirus crisis eased.
A Tottenham Hotspur source told Football Insider that Spurs have made early moves to take advantage of Willian’s contract stalemate at Chelsea as they look to win the race for his signature this summer.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Willian.
Meanwhile, Willian had previously revealed why he is yet to sign a contract extension with Chelsea
He told Expediente Futebol: “I think it will be very difficult for me to renew because Chelsea offered me two years.
“I asked for three and it ended there.
“We didn’t talk anymore. We didn’t negotiate anymore.”
