Christian Pulisic came off the bench at the hour mark against Liverpool on Wednesday night, with Chelsea three goals behind at the Anfield Stadium.
The 21-year-old put on an instant show with a magical dribble and assist for Tammy Abraham to tap into the net, and it was followed by a fantastic goal of his own, as Pulisic tried to drag his side back into the game.
Chelsea ultimately conceded again and lost 5-3 at Anfield following a swift counterattacking move.
Chelsea have been crying for a player like Eden Hazard, as his departure to Real Madrid weakened the team.
However, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said Pulisic’s influence on the game against Liverpool was ‘Eden Hazard-like’, as he showered the American star with praise.
Interestingly, Pulisic has now scored 9 goals in the Premier League this season, which equals Hazard’s goal tally when he first arrived from Lille in 2013, although the American has done it in just 24 games as well as laying on six assists.
