Emerson Palmieri started out the season as Frank Lampard’s first choice left-back, but the Italy international failed to impress, with Marcos Alonso now the main man in the left-back position.
There have been talks linking Emerson with an exit from the club, with reports claiming he’d return to the Serie A at the end of the season.
Speaking about the future of the Italian international, Lampard revealed that he’s not aware of talks regarding his exit from the club.
Lampard told the media: “I’m not aware of the talks. What I am doing is focusing on the team and the squad day-to-day.
“I don’t have any real conversations about the transfer window, whether it’s who we might bring in or who might leave the club.
“Those are obviously questions we do have to answer at the end of the season when the window opens but I certainly don’t want to be swayed by a rumour or gossip and I’m not involved so we’ll just keep working.”
Emerson has been a Chelsea player since January 2018, but reports claim that Inter Milan are keen on signing him, with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte interested in Emerson.
