Roman Abramovich makes decision on Lampard’s request to sign Oblak as Kepa’s replacement

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard isn’t convinced Kepa Arrizabalaga is good enough for Chelsea following his form in goal for the Blues this season.

Lampard believes for Chelsea to challenge for the Premier League title next season, a more reliable goalkeeper is needed.

According to reports, Lampard wants to replace the Spaniard with Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

According to Spanish media outlet AS via Daily Express, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given Lampard the greenlight to make a move for Oblak this summer.

Chelsea will reportedly offer Kepa plus cash for Oblak and it is believed Atletico Madrid is open to letting Oblak join Chelsea if the offer is substantial.

  1. #kepa..a world record failure stopper beneath the Goalkeeping hierarchy…

  2. We don’t need Oblak . Kepar is just off form but is still excellent

  3. Basically they should sell kepa and look for another young talent that is brilliant yet cheap, they will make profit if they do this, the profit will boost their bid for other expensive star playres they are interested in.

  4. I believe going for Onana and keeping Kepa as a back up will make the no.1 between the sticks competitive and it would be nice to have both for cup competitions and the league.
