Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was disappointed after the final whistle at Bramall Lane.
Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United on Saturday evening, and it was a very poor performance from Frank Lampard’s side.
There was no desire from the boys as Sheffield United kept pressing hard and making life difficult for Chelsea.
To lose 3-0 at a time when Chelsea are fighting for a Champions League finish is just absurd.
Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness has slammed the Chelsea players for their performance, and also backed some to be sold ahead of next season.
“If you were to pick a starting eleven from the players on both teams, I’m not sure if any Sheffield United players get in,” Souness said.
“So what is the difference? Attitude, attitude, attitude. No doubting Chelsea are more talented, goalkeeper [Kepa] the exception for me, but they’re second best tonight for things that mattered.
“They’ve got to do something about conceding goals, 49 goals now. I’d expect several players we saw tonight won’t be there next year. Wherever you go you’ve got quality, but that’s not enough at this level. Mentally, physically you’ve got to be bang at it, and they weren’t today.”
We really need to screen our players, some ha e to leave and bring players that are serious with the blue club of london’s barge
