Chelsea have been written off time and again this season, by pundits, analysts and so-called computer predictions, but Frank Lampard’s side has kept going.

Manchester United have been predicted to again finish third on the Premier League table, despite being fifth, with only two games to go, ahead of Chelsea.

United trail Chelsea by one point, and are level with Leicester City, but a supercomputer at FiveThirtyEight believes the Red Devils will finish in the top three, behind winners, Liverpool and second-placed Manchester City.

The computer predicts United will finish on 66 points, same as Chelsea, but will pip the Blues to the third position based on superior goal difference.

Leicester City, on the other hand, are predicted to finish in fifth, after they lost to Tottenham’s, 3-0 on Sunday.

Well, Chelsea are used to being written off, and Frank Lampard’s side will show their worth with another fine performance against Liverpool on Wednesday.
