It might not just be Chelsea fans who are tired of Blues first choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, the players might be as well, and they showed it after another poor defensive showing at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Chelsea have conceded a whopping 54 league goals in just 37 games – the worst record in the top ten, and the Blues have conceded a league high 16 goals from set pieces this season.
Besides his usual errors, Kepa failed to command his area for setpieces and obviously the world’s most expensive goalkeeper has been unable to command confidence from his defenders as well.
Gini Wijnaldum benefitted from Chelsea’s poor defending last night as he scored Liverpool’s third goal of the very heated end to end contest – and Kepa’s less than domineering presence has played a huge part in our dismal defensive record.
Kepa’s failure to command his area was highlighted time and again at Anfield, and during the closing stages of the game, he was left glued to his line as Andy Robertson teased a late free-kick into the penalty area.
The Chelsea keeper made no move and was stuck to his post as the ball made its way to the far post where Virgil van Dijk was standing. To Kepa’s grace, the Dutch defender missed the opportunity to extend Liverpool’s lead, and the Blues’ defenders were less than impressed with Kepa’s efforts.
Several Chelsea players could be heard screaming Kepa’s name in utter disgust, while five players were pictured with their arms outstretched questioning his lack of assertiveness.
Do you think it’s time for Chelsea to call it quits with the world’s most expensive goalkeeper, and term this as a loss just after two seasons?
Just continue keeping Kepa in every game, the worst results will continue coming.
Let Chelsea solve the teams problems first then we can buy a good keeper in competition with Kepa and that don’t call for a world class keeper because i believe that Kepa is still young and soon he may be the best keeper in the world don’t judge him with the situation right now just get another good keeper then competition starts that can leads to keepers training so hard and bad times could turn into good results. ✌️
chelsea must get a little patience for Kepa
Kepa is not having problem we need a defender at the central position to command the team
Lets not judge kepa for now , lets try to solve the problem which is last man center back so we can see if we can conserve such goals again and onces more we need to buy another keeper in challenge for to kepa
The problem with defending two central defenders play like Sunday morning players
Running around like headless chickens.goal keeper needs.to be sold.also we need a good do managing captain he trays to do everybody job instead of his own we need a big holding midfielder if not soughted out next season we will be just as bad
Please Frank sort this out as I believe in you.I will always support chelsea no for 70yrs
I think we need a keeper like pope and at least a good central defender like rice and things will work our ways.otherwise that is a gone case and we need to be more than serious in the fourth coming match so as to keep our heads high.I pray that the klop, Lampard issue should not go to such extreme. Thanks .long live Chelsea. Greetings to all our beloved playerst.
I questioned the value of kepa even today he is not worthy it.he is childish
Please Chelsea should sign a new goalkeeper. Kepa or what ever they are calling him, should go for clothes modeling.
I shade tears seeing my club conceive cheap goals 😭😭😭. This is unusual to the blues family.
The whole team should shoulder the responsibility. If they don’t want him at Chelsea, they have to shoulder some responsibility than just blame him for every goal
Lampard should please get us a good keeper and a central back, because I haven’t seen a keeper that is worst like Kepa in the history of blues, he doesn’t worth the money used in getting him. Kepa is a disgrace, conceiving cheap goals without any good save right from the beginning of the season.
Get rid of kepa as soon as possible he does not move his feet and will never be even a good goal keeper too many bad habits and please DONT play him in tha FA cup final he will let chelsea down.
A Kepa that conceded 49 league goals the season before his arrival at and having conceded over 46 league goals for Chelsea this season isn’t a top class keeper.. Chelsea needs a top class goal keeper..
Chelsea is a very great club to be number at Chelsea it’s a huge task, kepas need time although it not his first season he’s young he still have talent that Chelsea will benefit from, we still have our goal keeper legends like (Petr cech) who will back him up to his best.
