Big things were expected when Chelsea broke the world transfer record for a goalkeeper to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2019.
The 25 year old has struggled at the club this season under Frank Lampard and his 54.5 per cent save ratio is statistically the worst in Europe’s top five leagues.
Lampard wants a replacement for Kepa this summer with the Blues interested in Dean Henderson, Jan Oblak and Andre Onana.
However, Chelsea legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech appears to disagree with Lampard over Kepa.
According to Mundo Deportivo, technical director Petr Cech – who holds the club’s record for clean sheets – believes that Arrizabalaga is a good goalkeeper with plenty of potential that simply needs to build his confidence.
That’s a great a comment petr you are a keeper and you have encountered a lot of difficulties during your time in office. So if you want to train kepa try and build his confidence because he has a lot to offer.
I don’t think Kepa should be sold infact he is good and he needs taming and steps. He should always come out when the ball is crossed. He should always move back when the opponent is facing him a ball like keita and Zaha’s shot
