Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has backed the club’s pursuit of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and the Germany international is expected to join the Blues soon.
The big money signing of Havertz won’t stop Chelsea from signing other players Frank Lampard wants at the club.
According to Daily Express, Abramovich has given the green light to the club’s pursuit of three other players.
Abramovich acknowledges the need to strengthen Chelsea’s defence after the Blues conceded more goals than any of the teams in the top 10 of the Premier League this season and has backed the club’s pursuit of Ben Chilwell, Lewis Dunk and John Stones.
Brighton want £40 million for Dunk while Leicester City are demanding £80 million for Ben Chilwell. Manchester City are reportedly willing to allow Stones leave on loan as he is set to drop even further down the pecking order following the signing of Nathan Ake.
