One man who never appears to be happy with the rumours linking Kai Havertz to Chelsea is Bayer Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller.

Voller had often vowed that he won’t be selling Kai Havertz for a cheap fee, and despite reports confirming that Chelsea have agreed a deal worth up to £90m for Havertz, Voller has again branded it as nonsense.

“This is nonsense!” Voller told German publication SID.

However, despite Voller’s remarks, reliable reports have confirmed that the deal is set to be concluded.

According to German media outlet Sport Bild, Chelsea will pay €80million (£72m) up front plus a further €20m (£18m) in bonuses, making the total value of the deal £90m.

Sky Sports have also confirmed the deal, claiming that the two clubs have finally agreed terms.
