Manchester City star John Stones, has fallen down the pecking order in the Manchester City defence, and according to reports, Man City boss Pep Guardiola, is ready to sell the Englishman this summer.
City have gone on to sign Nathan Ake, making Stones’ place even less assured.
Stones have been linked with a move to Chelsea, but Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has told the Gunners to go ahead and sign the City defender.
“I think there will be a lot of clubs interested,” Parlour told TalkSport.
“The centre-half position has always been a problem for a lot of clubs. Will he go? I’d love to see him at Arsenal.
“Whether they can get the money up front and have the money to buy him is another matter.
“He’s at that age now where he needs to play. West Ham would love him. I don’t think he’s going to get many opportunities at Man City.
“I think the manager doesn’t fancy him. He’s young enough to go somewhere else and play on a regular basis.”
Asked if Lampard would take a chance on him at Chelsea, Parlour replied: “Maybe.
“I think that’s been their problem, the centre-half position.
“He does make a mistake here and there but I think he’s a good player. He’s just lost that little bit of confidence.
“Sometimes he tries too hard when he gets his opportunity rather than saying, ‘right, I’m going to defend well today, get a clean sheet for Manchester City’, he tries and plays out a little bit too much.”
