Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has accused Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of cheating during Chelsea’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
According to Sutton, Aubameyang conned the referee to win the penalty that brought Arsenal level after Christian Pulisic had given the Blues an early lead.
“Let’s not mess around,” Sutton told BBC Five Live.
“It was a dive [for the penalty]. It’s cheating.’ He added: “There is a little pull. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang knows what he is doing.
“There is the slightest contact. He has bought that penalty!”
Meanwhile, former Chelsea goalkeeper Rob Green believes the referee was right to award Arsenal a penalty.
“Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang has got the wrong side of Cesar Azpilicueta for the penalty,” he added.
“I’ve seen it a number of times. He waits until he is inside the box before he goes down.
“It was clever play. There was enough in it to give it.”
