Bayern Munich defender David Alaba could reportedly become a Chelsea player ‘within a fortnight’.

According to Sky Sports, the Austrian international has rejected a £15m-a-year offer to remain with the Bundesliga club.

Alaba is entering the final year of his Bayern Munich contract and if he fails to agree a new deal with the German club, Bayern Munich will have to sell him this summer to avoid losing hik for free next summer.

Alaba reportedly wants to become one of the top earners at the club, matching the salaries of the likes of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski.

The Austrian, who is also wanted by Manchester United, is a versatile defender who can play left back and centre-back, and even in midfield.
