Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman has joined Rotherham United on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.
The tall goalkeeper, who has been on the books at Chelsea since the age of 12, sustained a broken leg in November 2018 which has limited his involvement since.
The 26-year-old will now try to get his career back in track with a loan spell at Rotherham who only just gained promotion to the Championship.
Meanwhile, Chelsea youngster Armando Broja has joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a year-long loan deal, and the 18-year-old is keen to follow the path of Mason Mount who had a successful loan spell with the Dutch club.
Broja told Vitesse’s official website after sealing a one-year loan deal to the club: “I know examples from Mason Mount, but also from Lewis Baker and Dominic Solanke.
“For myself, I see Vitesse as the ideal club to make my launch. I want to grow as a player and as a person. And above all: score a lot of goals. I will give everything for that.”
Broja made his first-team debut last season for Chelsea in a 4–0 home win against Everton after coming on as a late substitute.
