Chelsea have struggled defensively this season, with the Blues conceding the most goals among teams that finished in the top half of the Premier League.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on strengthening the defence this summer and multiple reports have claimed anyone of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen or Kurt Zouma could be sold this summer with a replacement arriving at the club.
According to reports, the Blues are in talks with Brighton over the availability of their defender and captain, Lewis Dunk as replacement for Rudiger.
Dunk, 28, has proved a fantastic servant to Brighton since joining in 2013. He took on the captain’s armband last season after playing all 38 Premier League games and helping the Seagulls avoid relegation.
This season, he only missed two league games and chipped in with three goals and three assists. At 6ft 3in, Dunk would provide vital height in the Chelsea defence.
Chelsea fans are excited about the move for the Brighton defender.
