Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea this summer as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa has had a turbulent two years at Stamford Bridge following his world-record £71.6million move from Athletic Bilbao.
Oblak has given Chelsea a transfer boost after refusing to commit his future to Atletico Madrid when quizzed about Chelsea’s interest in him.
“This is not the time for that, now it’s Leipzig,” Oblak said ahead of tonight’s Champions League quarter-final clash.
“The balance of the season I do when the last game is over and hopefully we have three left.
“Then there will be time to talk. But first, Leipzig. I really want to pass.”
Meanwhile , Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists the goalkeeper will remain at Atletico Madrid despite Chelsea’s interest.
When asked if he fears the 27-year-old leaving he said: “Fear? No. No way.
“Life has shown us things and I am convinced that Jan Oblak will continue to play at Atletico.”
