According to ESPN, Chelsea are plotting a surprise move for Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The 33 year old goalkeeper reportedly wants to leave Manchester United this summer with Dean Henderson returning to Manchester United after a successful loan spell at Sheffield United.

Manchester United will reportedly demand around £5million for Romero after snapping him up on a free from Sampdoria in July 2015.

Premier League clubs Leeds and Everton also ready to make their move for the Argentine goalkeeper.

The Blues have also been linked with high profile moves for Barca stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Ajax’s Andre Onana with Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster also on the shortlist.
