Arsenal is set to follow their capture of Willian with another Brazilian, as reports claim that the Gunners are hopeful of reaching an agreement to sign Gabriel Magalhaes, with a fee set at around £22million.

Arsenal have beaten Manchester United and Chelsea to the signing of Lille centre back, Gabriel Magalhaes, with a deal almost close to being sealed.

The Brazilian defender had an excellent season with Lille last season, and helped them to fourth place in the French Ligue One, before the season was cancelled due to coronavirus fears.

His stellar performances earned him suitors from across Europe, which included Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Napoli, but it appears the Gunners have beaten everyone to his signing, after agreeing a deal with Lille.

Chelsea were linked with Gabriel Magalhaes, but it’s clear that the Blues might not be too keen on the Brazilian, with other targets such as Lewis Dunk, Ben White and Dayot Upamecano, all on the club’s radar.

However, it’s not yet over, as Napoli are also keen on sealing the deal.

  1. Chelsea should go fast and and sign Dunk and Alaba. Alaba is a stone on his own and he has refused to renew his contract. He wants to move to premier League. This is a great chance.
