Chelsea have been strongly linked with Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz, and reports claim that Chelsea are close to making the deal happen.
Chelsea technical and performance director Petr Cech, has given hint about a deal for Kai Havertz.
After leaving Wembley on Saturday evening, following the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, the former Blues goalkeeper was approached by a Chelsea supporter who asked if the club will be signing Havertz this summer.
However, Cech simply replied with a laugh and said: “Good try!”
Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has recently spoken about the future of his star player.
While admitting he knows where the future of Havertz lies, Bosz remained coy when quizzed by reporters.
“I won’t tell, it’s his business,” Bosz told German news agency DPA.
“I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumours, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”
Bosz also confessed it will be difficult to predict when Havertz’s Chelsea’s transfer will be completed.
“It’s impossible to say. Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all,” he said.
