Chelsea have an uphill task to overturn a 3-0 deficit in the first leg, after Bayern Munich ran riot at Chelsea’s home stadium.
Chelsea would have to play the second leg at the Allianz Arena without the club’s experienced widemen, as Frank Lampard has confirmed that Christian Pulisic, Willian and Pedro will be unavailable for this clash.
The onus will fall on Callum Hudson-Odoi to start this game, and the 19-year-old is the only recognised winger in the Chelsea first team.
It’s even a huge clash for the Blues academy product, who was linked with a move to Bayern and even submitted a transfer request last season.
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has backed the youngster to put on a good show against the Bavarians.
“Callum is a young guy with loads of talent,” said the Chelsea defender ahead of the game.
“Of course in a game like this, it’s Bayern Munich and there was a lot of talk [linking the youngster to a transfer to Bayern].
“He wants this type of game and that’s why you play football. Of course, he wants to prove a point.”
