Aston Villa legend Lee Hendrie has revealed he would love to see Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham re-join Aston Villa.
Abraham spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Aston Villa, scoring 26 goals as he helped them secure promotion to the Premier League.
“Don’t start me on this,” said Hendrie on Talksport, when asked about Villa’s transfer dealings.
“The centre-forward saga goes on for me.
“I had a chat with Dean Smith last season about it. Wesley got injured, you had Samatta – out of all them Keinan Davis was the best but he wasn’t scoring goals. They need to resolve that ASAP, I feel.
“There’s been a bit of a link with Tammy Abraham who I’d love to see back at the club, but I feel they are going to have to tide it down a little bit and aim lower. He’d fit the bill perfectly though.”
Despite the arrival of Timo Werner, Abraham is reportedly not interested in leaving the club as he aims to fight for a spot in Chelsea’s starting XI.
