Timo Werner was one of the most outstanding players in the Bundesliga last season, and only Robert Lewandowski got more goals than the German international.
Werner netted 28 goals in 34 games, while also contributing with eight assists, and he’d be expected to put the same form while playing for Chelsea in the Premier League next season.
Danish forward Poulsen, who played alongside Werner in attack for Leipzig, has asked Chelsea fans to be patient with Timo Werner when the new season starts.
“I think Timo will be a great striker in the Premier League over the next few years,” Poulsen said in an interview with the Sport-Informations-Dienst (SID).
“Of course, he has to get to know his team-mates and the league first; you can’t show all your qualities right away. But that will come in time.”
The 24-year-old is expected to play a huge role for Chelsea next season, along with Hakim Ziyech and possibly Kai Havertz, if he finally makes the switch.
