The Premier League season for the 2019-20 campaign ended on July 26, with the rest of the league going on break.
However, teams involved in European competitions are to get a bit more break, apart from Chelsea and Wolves.
The Blues didn’t go to rest after the Premier League came to an end, as Chelsea still had the FA Cup final and Champions League second leg clash against Bayern Munich, in the month of August.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will not be given extra rest before the start of the next Premier League season despite the fact that they were involved in the Champions League.
However, Manchester City and Manchester United, will enjoy a week more rest to recuperate before the start of the season, as Frank Lampard’s team will be back in action at the weekend of September 12, as well as the rest of the league.
With less than a month to get ready for the 2020/21 season, Chelsea have already outlined their plans for the next weeks.
Reports have claimed that for pre-season, Chelsea will not be planning any overseas trip or overseas plan in terms of preparations for the 2020/21 season.
Chelsea had initially scheduled a pre-season tour in the United States, but that plan wouldn’t come forth anymore.
