Following the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is expected to sell some players in his squad.
Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is poised to dent Frank Lampard’s hopes of selling Emerson Palmieri, with reports claiming Conte has switched attention to another target.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with 34 year old Aleksandar Kolarov of Roma.
Conte had wanted to bring Emerson to the San Siro having signed him for Chelsea in January 2018 for around £18million plus £7m in add-ons but with Chelsea demanding around £22million for the Italian Italian international, Conte has now snubbed a move for Emerson.
Conte isn’t keen on spending £22 million on Emerson, who is now third choice at Chelsea following the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.
Inter Milan reaching a deal to sign Kolarov from Roma will deal a blow to Lampard, who had been hoping to sell one of Emerson or Marcos Alonso after signing Chilwell.
Lampard is keen on more signings this summer and fringe players in the squad must be sold before new signings will be made.
