Tammy Abraham’s future at Chelsea is quite uncertain, despite a fairly good debut season at the club.
The 22-year-old striker was able to provide 19 goals in all competitions for Chelsea, but Chelsea have signed a 30+ goal a season striker in Timo Werner.
The Blues signed the German hitman from RB Leipzig, after a stunning season both in the Bundesliga and in Europe.
However, former England right-back Danny Mills, has revealed that Abraham could still play next season, only if he bangs the goals.
“Werner can play wide, off the right-hand side,” former England and Manchester City right-back Danny Mills told Football Insider. “Willian’s leaving so Werner can go down the right, Pulisic, when he’s back fit, on the left and Abraham down the middle or Giroud.
“If Abraham is doing it then, if you’re good enough, you play. If you’re doing the business you stay in the squad and you play, it is as simple as that. Managers have different opinions about different players but if Abraham is scoring goals he’s going to play. It doesn’t matter who’s behind you.”
