Chelsea had been linked with a move for Jack Grealish in the past, but talks over a move for the 24-year-old Aston Villa star has since cooled down.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard seems to be okay with the midfield at his disposal, and the club is only pushing for a move for Kai Havertz in that position.
Former Charlton Athletic, Aston Villa and Tottenham striker Darren Bent, doesn’t even think that the Villa captain will make it in the Chelsea team.
Speaking to Football Insider about Jack Grealish’s future, Darrent Bent said: “Honestly, at the minute he needs to weigh up and think about where he’s going to go – he could stay at Aston Villa where he’s the captain, the main man and his boyhood club and he knows he’d be a god if he was to stay.
“He’s not going to go to Manchester United. Manchester City, they don’t need him. Liverpool don’t need him, where’s he going to get in there?
“He’s not going to go to Chelsea. Could he go to Leicester City? The only club I can see him at is Tottenham – now they didn’t want to pay the £25 million years ago.”
