Liverpool won their first ever Premier League title, as they had to wait 30 years to win a league title.
Next season promises to be a tough one, and Liverpool will start their defence of the title with some difficult games.
Liverpool will start the season with a Community Shield game against Arsenal, before starting the league campaign with a game against Leeds United on September 12, before going away to Chelsea on September 19 and then hosting Arsenal on the 26th.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reacted to the fixtures, and admits that it’s a tough start to the season.
He told the club website: “For months, for weeks you have no idea how you will start and it’s like, ‘What? Leeds United at home, Chelsea away, Arsenal at home?’ It’s all difficult. Tough start, tough, tough start of course.
“But I have to say I don’t think Leeds loves that start, I don’t think Chelsea wants to play immediately against Liverpool again.
“Arsenal, oh my God, second away game, it’s just not nice. What it shows, we should try really again in this season again.
“So that’s how it is, it will be tough, really tough, but how nice for everybody, so for the other teams as well.
“We just have to make sure that we are as ready as possible.”
He`s right because clubs are investing heavily to have stronger teams hence tougher competition next season so i don`t see why he should not have said that.
