Lampard gives Chelsea’s transfer update and move for Kai Havertz

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly keen on backing Frank Lampard in the transfer market, and with the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, it’s clear that the the Chelsea owner isn’t yet done in the market.

The 4-1 defeat to Bayern exposed the need for the team to strengthened, and speaking after the game, Lampard admitted that the team needs to be strengthened.

“We will look at that because that’s our job, my job and we’re very joined up with how we’ve worked at it already,” Lampard says .

“From having a transfer ban, you feel the fact we missed out where other clubs had spent and improved and recruitment is a big part of this game.

“Nights like tonight for me from a footballing sense show me a lot so it’s a conversation now the season is ended. ‘It’s a very quick turnaround but now is the time to see what areas we can improve in.’

Asked specifically about rumours linking Chelsea with Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, Lampard responded: “I wouldn’t expect anything but it’s our job to go away and see what happens and see where we can improve.

“In a footballing sense, I feel like I know where we can improve but now it’s time to look at that.”

    I have been Chelseafc fan for than 20 years. Chelseafc became part of my blood so i want to give my advice to board of directors now Chelseafc need to make improvement at side of defence with more experience and midfielder with more experience not in the front we have already bought Hakim and warner they are good in the attacking.

    As i believe Chelseafc do not want to buy player like Kai Havertz because of we have aplayer like him Mason Mount is a good player and can play like his position so if you buy 21 year old around £80 and you didn’t see the diamond you have its useless
