Signing a left-back this summer is a priority for Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
According to German news outlet Kicker, Lampard is now keen on signing Atalanta left-back Robin Gosens, ahead of Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell.
The 26 year old left-back played a key role in Atalanta’s third-place finish in the Serie A and their Champions League run which sees them play Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals.

Often used as a wing-back in a 3-5-2 formation, Gosens has scored nine league goals and registered eight assists for Atalanta this term.
While Leicester City are reportedly demanding over £70 million for Chilwell, Chelsea can sign Gosens from Atalanta for just £27 million.
I believe Nathan Ake can easily solve Chelsea’s left back problem excellently. If is an issue of height, compare him to Ashley Cole, I guess the difference is not that significant. Lampard should take a second look at him
