Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly interested in signing a central defender this summer after selling Dejan Lovren to Zenit Saint-Petersburg.
According to Daily Express, Klopp is interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger as a replacement for Lovren.
Liverpool have Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip on their books but a fourth option would be welcome.
Previous reports had claimed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is open to selling Rudiger this season as he seeks to raise funds to strengthen a leaky defence.
Lampard is interested in signing either West Ham’s Declan Rice or Atletico Madrid’s Jose Gimenez but one of Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma or Fikayo Tomori must be sold.
