Chelsea target Kai Havertz has been linked with a summer move to Chelsea ahead of the new season, and the 21-year-old is the rave of the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz has often been compared to Blues great Michael Ballack, with many tipping the young midfielder to even become a better player.

Ballack has now spoken about the young star and backs him to be a success at Chelsea under Frank Lampard.

“I firmly believe that Frank Lampard would be 100 per cent behind Kai Havertz,” the Chelsea hero told Sportbuzzer.

“He likes players who are very dangerous in front of goal and there aren’t many of those.

“Havertz is a player that Frank Lampard would help further, not least because he himself was a midfielder with an eye for goal, who was always moving into dangerous areas, looking to finish off a chance.”

On Chelsea new boy Werner, Ballack added: “He has an incredible speed, is direct and has force.

“The package Werner and Chelsea fits.

“For Werner, the move is a step forward because Chelsea have different ambitions than Leipzig.”
