Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has been offered to Chelsea ahead of his exit from the French club this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The 36 year old Brazilian centre-back will make his final appearance for PSG in the Champions League this weekend.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is eager to improve his defensive options this summer after the Blues conceded 54 Premier goals this season, the most by any club that finished in the top half and has been given the chance to bring Silva to the Premier League.
Silva earns £1.3million a year at PSG but is willing to take a paycut to join Chelsea this summer.
Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in signing the Brazilian centre-back as a free agent this summer.
