The 2020-21 season will indeed be a difficult one, with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, expected to finish in top four.
Liverpool and Manchester City seem to be ahead of everyone else, but Chelsea and Manchester United are gradually building something special.
There won’t be much time to rest for the players, with pre-season expected to kick off soon, with the Premier League setting a resumption date of September 12.
The Telegraph has claimed that for pre-season, Chelsea will not be planning any overseas trip or overseas plan in terms of preparations for the 2020/21 season.
The report claims Chelsea would likely use the improvised pre-season they had before the season was resumed in June.
Before the last season’s resumption following the lockdown, Chelsea played an intra-squad friendly, and also played friendlies against Reading at their Cobham training base and QPR at Stamford Bridge.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea had initially scheduled a pre-season tour in the United States, but that plan wouldn’t come forth anymore.
