Chelsea have been linked with West Ham star Declan Rice, with the Blues boss Frank Lampard, keen to sign the Englishman, in order to improve Chelsea’s poor defensive record.

The Blues conceded a whopping 54 goals in the Premier League last season, the worst in the top half of the table, and Lampard must work hard to ring changes to the team next season, if we are to improve on last season’s performance.

The former Chelsea academy product, Rice, is best friends with Chelsea youngster Mason Mount, and the 21-year-old recently met with Blues legend John Terry.

Terry shared a picture of his meeting with Rice, with the caption: “What a centre-back partnership this would have been Declan Rice. I’m playing LCB though!

“Good catch up mate. Unbelievable player who will continue to get better and better.”

Rice, seems to be have a good relationship with the Chelsea players, and has now invited Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham for a game of golf.

Rice recently put up a hilarious video of him on the golf course attempting some Michael Jackson moves.

Underneath in the comments section of his post, Tammy Abraham could not believe it, saying with crying emojis: “Neighbour why.”

Rice responded to Abraham’s comment as he invited the Chelsea striker to a game of golf: “Come and play golf with me Tammyyyyyyyy.”

Do you think Rice will be a good signing to help lock the team’s defence?
