One thing Jose Mourinho loves to do during the summer transfer window is quick businesses. In short, this is the success of his secret during his third Premier League title success, as he quickly signed Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis ahead of the 2014-15 season.

Mourinho would eventually win the season with ease, as Chelsea started the season strongly and rode off to an early title success.

The Portuguese is now in charge of Tottenham, and he has now made two quick deals, following the addition of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on a five-year deal from Southampton last Tuesday and also the addition of former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

When quizzed if his early business plan is already starting to come true, Mourinho gave a positive response.

“Monday? A new player Monday? That would be amazing news but I think it’s just the opening of the window,” said Mourinho.

“I think we’re going in the right direction. Very calm, organised, thinking well, measured, thinking of everything.

“We know what we can do, we know what we cannot do, we know which directions we can go in, which directions we cannot.

“We cannot be reactive in relation to what our opponents may do that we cannot do. We are very balanced, we’re together.

“No doubts about what we need, no doubts what it is possible for us to get.

“Step by step we’ll end with a better, more balanced squad than we have now, keeping the great players we have is a very important thing.”
