According to The Times, West Ham have rejected Chelsea’s offer for 21 year old England international Declan Rice.
The report claims the Blues offered Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley in exchange for Rice but West Ham rejected the swap deal.
Chelsea are thought to have offered Batshuayi and Barkley in exchange for Rice due to West Ham having previously tried to sign Batshuayi and David Moyes’ experience coaching Barkley at Everton.
West Ham are reluctant to sell the England international to Chelsea and will only let Rice join Chelsea if they receive an offer of £80 million.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing Rice due to his versatility and intends using the midfielder as a centre-back.
Rice was released by Chelsea as a youngster before West Ham swooped to bring him into their own academy system.
