Eden Hazard was the last player to win the Chelsea Player of the season award. With 19 goals and 16 assists in all competitions in the 2018-19 campaign, the Belgian enjoyed a truly phenomenal personal campaign, and was hailed as the Blues best player, before sealing a move to Real Madrid.

We’ve come to the end of the 2019-20 season, and it’s about that time for the club to award the best player of the season.

Voting has opened for the Chelsea Player of the Season award for 2019/20, presented by Yokohama Tyres, with the winner to be decided by the club’s supporters.

The likes of Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic had a good season, and were even nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award.

Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta also did well over the course of the season, while Mateo Kovacic seemed to be Chelsea’s best player before the restart. However, his form after the restart was ordinary.

N’Golo Kante will deserve some accolade as usual, but he wasn’t too involved, due to injury.

For Christian Pulisic, Chelsea fans would remember his impressive form after the lockdown, however he struggled at times with form and injury, in the first half of the season. He took some time to get used to the Premier League, and when he did, he was unplayable.

Mason Mount on the other played every league game for Chelsea, bar one, and he did well in his debut season at the club. Although, there was a time he dropped form midway through the season.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
