Willian’s present club Arsenal, and his former club, Chelsea, went head to head in the FA Cup final.

Chelsea scored the first goal in that game, but the Gunners eventually won the match 2-1 to become FA Cup champions for a record 14 times.

Willian who was a Chelsea player at the time, has now admitted that he supported Chelsea to win the final, as he wasn’t yet an Arsenal player, and wasn’t sure of his future at the time.

“I wanted Chelsea to win because that was who I played for and I wasn’t sure I would be going to Arsenal,” Willian told the Sun.

“But, of course, I am happy now that Arsenal won because we get to play in Europe and that is important for us.”

Willian would eventually leave Chelsea at the end of the season, to sign up for Arsenal, after the Brazilian failed to agree fresh terms with the club, with disagreement over the length of his contract.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
