Chelsea came down from three goals down to seal a 3-3 draw with West Brom, but it wasn’t the kind of reaction Blues boss Frank Lampard would have been expecting after the defeat to Liverpool.
The reaction on the face of the manager and the players at full-time showed that it was far from an impressive performance for the Blues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has given his verdict on the game, and he believes it’s more of two points lost than a point gained.
Lampard said after the game: “It is two points lost at the end of the day – and that’s no disrespect to West Brom. You come here and you know the transition and any mistakes would be something they would jump on – that and set pieces. You can’t legislate for the mistakes that there were today.
“We created two or three great chances in the first half. I felt we would create more, the only other problem at 3-0 was West Brom were going to protect their lead more. It is a big lesson for us.”
