Frank Lampard as Chelsea manager always seems calm and collected on the dugout, and he shows so much maturity when in front of the media.

However, Ashley Cole, who was his teammate at Chelsea and who also played under him for Derby County, has admitted that there is a harsh side of Lampard.

Ashley Cole has played under managers perceived to be harsh, such as Jose Mourinho and Rafa Benitez, but he rates Lampard as even worse than them.

Speaking to Jamie Redknapp for the Daily Mail, Cole said: “I played under Wenger, Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink, Rafa Benitez, Avram Grant, and I’ve never seen a battering as bad as the one Frank gave out at Derby.

“Even my head went into my neck! Frank’s got that edge to him. I’ve seen it.”

Lampard who won many trophies for Chelsea, will be hoping to instill that winning mentality in his side, as we saw during his playing days at the club.
