Chelsea have spent more than £200million this summer, with Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Kai Havertz joining the Blues.

Manchester United have signed Donny van de Beek this summer from Ajax and are also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Despite Chelsea’s big spending this summer, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher insists Chelsea and Manchester United haven’t done enough to challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title next season.

According to Carragher, the title race next season will be between Liverpool and Manchester City.

“I still see it as Liverpool and City,” Carragher said, according to Standard Sport. “There is too big a gap to bridge for Chelsea and United to gain 25, 30 points.”
