Despite signing five players this summer, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing a goalkeeper this summer.
According to reports, Lampard has identified Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy as a competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga and the Blues have reportedly submitted a bid for the 28 year old.
The Blues’ first bid was reported to be in the region of £18m, some way short of Rennes’ valuation.

According to The Telegraph, Rennes are willing to allow the goalkeeper join Chelsea this summer if the Blues submit a bid of £30million.
Rennes are reportedly not willing to let go of Mendy this summer without a fight and will demand their valuation of the Senegalese international is paid.
