After spending big this summer, the Blues are reportedly looking to recoup funds in the final weeks of the transfer window by selling players not needed at the club.
The Blues have been the Premier League’s biggest spenders so far with more £200million spent on six new signings and this has made several players at the club surplus to requirements.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are working to sell players not needed at the club in the next few days.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Chelsea are working to sell players on next days. Talks on with Genoa to loan out Davide Zappacosta. Tiemoue Bakayoko is still the main target for AC Milan.”
The emergence of Reece James at right-back means Zappacosta is now surplus to requirement at Stamford.
Bakayoko has spent the last two seasons on loan at AC Milan and Monaco and the Frenchman is reportedly on the verge of joining AC Milan.
