Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has been raving about new Blues player Hakim Ziyech.

Ziyech is yet to make his Chelsea debut due to an injury he picked up in pre-season, but Ferdinand can’t wait to see the Moroccan in action.

The Manchester United legend has revealed that he called up Chelsea manager Frank Lampard to ask about Ziyech, and Lampard responded that the winger’s passing ability was ridiculous.

“You know what I spoke to Frank the other day about Ziyech and he said: ‘His passing is ridiculous.'” Ferdinand told the Five YouTube channel.

“I’m looking to see them passes when he cuts with his left foot and has the likes of Mason Mount, Timo Werner Kai Havertz etc all making runs and I think Ziyech will be putting it on a plate for these boys.”

FIFA 21’s new ratings seem to be in line with what has been said about Ziyech. The new Chelsea signing has been rated by FIFA 21 as Chelsea’s best passer of the ball with a pass rating of 87.

Our vice-captain Jorginho is Chelsea’s second-best passer of the ball with a pass rating of 84. The other top passers in the Chelsea squad are Mateo Kovacic (83) and Kai Havertz (79).

Chelsea host the reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday afternoon and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be without Ziyech for the visit of Liverpool.

Ziyech is expected to miss the visit of Liverpool to Stamford Bridge after picking up an injury in the friendly game at Brighton.

According to reports, Ziyech is unlikely to be back in time for the game against Liverpool, but the following weekend’s trip to West Brom appears to be the perfect opportunity for him.
