Chelsea’s £72 million goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been under huge pressure and continually linked with a move away after failing to justify his price tag.
It is believed the arrival of Edouard Mendy from Rennes and Willy Caballero starting over him against West Brom is a sign his Chelsea career is over.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Tuesday Carabao Cup game against Tottenham, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard gave an update on the future of Kepa at Chelsea.
When asked if Kepa Arrizabalaga has played his last game for the Blues, Lampard said: “No I won’t go to that point. It’s been a hard time for him. Kepa is a young man and a lot of the spotlight has been unfair.”
