Chelsea younger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been nominated for this year’s Golden Boy award.

The 19-year-old is one of seven Premier League players on the final shortlist for the award this year.

Hudson-Odoi missed out on the final shortlist last year but made it this time around for the prestigious award.

The award is organised by Tuttosport and presented to the best top-flight players aged 21 or under in Europe.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Liverpool’s Neco Williams, Phil Foden of Manchester City and Mason Greenwood of Manchester United are part of the list of 40 players.

Wolves record signing Fabio Silva, who joined Wolves in a £35m deal from Porto, and Ferran Torres, who was signed by Manchester City from Valencia – also made the shortlist.

England winger Jadon Sancho and his Borussia Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland are tipped as the favourites to win this year’s award, which was won last year by Joao Felix of Atletico Madrid.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have all been recipients of the award.

Mason Mount and new Chelsea signing Kai Havertz both made the final shortlist last year.
