Kai Havertz is finally a Chelsea player after the Blues confirmed the capture of the German starlet on Friday for a fee believed to be around £90million, including add-ons.
Having recorded 12 goals and 6 assists in the Bundesliga last season, and 17 league goals in the previous season, Kai Havertz is known as a high scoring midfielder, and has been likened to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, who was a high scoring midfielder in his playing days.
Upon signing for Chelsea, Kai Havertz has revealed his admiration for the Chelsea manager and also revealed that he’s keen to learn even more from the Blues boss.
Speaking on the role of Frank Lampard making him join Chelsea, Havertz said: “Of course he had a big impact on my decision because I loved him as a player and watched him very often, and I think I can learn from him now he is a manager as well.
“I think he is a very humble person and a great guy and I can’t wait to play with him and learn from him.
“He was very offensive like me and he loves to score goals, and I love to score goals as well so I think he will help me a lot in my position. Also maybe on the things that I can improve and I can’t wait to work with him.”
