Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has praised Timo Werner and Kai Havertz following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Werner is yet to score his first Chelsea goal but showed signs of promise against Liverpool while Havertz was substituted at halftime after struggling to make an impact as a false nine.
Asked for his thoughts on the arrivals of Werner and Havertz, Kante told Chelsea TV: “I think this is Chelsea, like every team some players leave, some players come.
“I think today it was the debut for Timo and Kai at Stamford Bridge, I think they did well, they need to come with the team.
“We need to do better together. Today we were unlucky with how the game went.
“But I think they are good players, they give us quality in offensive positions. We need to do better as a team to have better results in the season.”
